Pipe rolling
Pipe rolling refers to a metalworking technique within the course of which a profile or a pipe acquires new geometric shapes.
A metal billet is compressed while its dimensions, physical and chemical properties are changed during the rolling process. A metal billet is subjected to a force during the rolling process, which deforms the shape of the billet to a desired radius.
The rolling technique requires a high degree of precision as it enables rolling steel pipes to a great precision. This technique is the first step in the process of making metal shapes for other products.
